How it Works

1. Post your lost or found pet
Create a free user account to post your lost or found pet. Enter your pet's identifying information, date and location, and upload a picture.

2. Search the map
To see whether someone nearby has posted a lost or found listing that matches your pet, use the map to scan your local area. If you see a possible match, you can post comments on the listing that will be emailed to the owner.

3. Spread the word
Use the "Share This Pet Online" links on your pet's profile page to spread the word to all your friends on Facebook and Twitter.

4. Watch your email
You will be notified by email immediately whenever a new lost or found pet is added to the map within 30 miles of you. Don't worry, you can unsubscribe from these notifications at any time if you wish. You will also receive an email if someone comments on your pet listing.

5. Mark safe at home!
Once your pet makes it back home safely, be sure to go back to your listing and click the "Mark Safe at Home!" button. This will remove your pet from the map.
